The Paper Review on the Ankle Sprain with Oriental Medical Treatments Published in Korea after 1990

Abstract

|
Objectives: This study was planned to analyze oriental medical treatments of ankle sprain through the paper review.
Methods: We reviewed the clinical & experimental papers concerned with ankle sprain published in korea after 1990.
Results and Conclusions: There are 10 papers concerned with ankle spain, 7 are clinical studies, 3 experimental studies. In clinical studies, 6 were acute ankle sprain studies, 1 chronic ankle sprain study. Several oriental medical treatments like acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal acupuncture were effective on ankle sprain but, especially "Dong-Ki" technique in acupuncture was more effective.
